I am not that familiar with the kubota engine however if the fuel injection pump is gear driven and uses engine oil for lubrication do not discard the fact that fuel could be getting into the crankcase through seal past the injector pump drive shaft. This also goes for the passing diaphrams on the fuel supply pump driven from the camshaft if applicable.

Bill theres nothing to it. One suggestion is that when you do the work first remove the oil filter then change out the fuel filter. With the oil filter out of the way you will have much more room to get the sediment/ filter bowl off and on. Hans

Mark when you are moving you will not even notice this anomally with the SS and it has the same characteristic as any other compact tractor. In fact you can make this feature work in your favor. I use it to straighted out the tractor if I park crookedly in the garage. I will put the loader down and unweight the front end. If I need to move the front end to the right I turn the steering wheel to the right. Then I pick up the loader and turn the steering wheel to left and the front end moves several inches to the right. By repeating this you can position the front of the tractor anywhere you want with out shuttling backward and forward. You could therefore us this feature to get you out of tight spots or into a position when you have no room to move backward or forward. With out the front end loader on you will not even be aware of this steering anomally. The loader just magnifiys what is happening. Go ahead and get this feature you won�t regret it.

Eddie I found out after I bought the Bush Hog RDTH-72 that heavier is not better, it is well built but, in my case I have parts of the lawn that stays wet for a longer period of timein the spring. As a result the 72 inch unit weighs about 588 lbs but the gauge/ caster wheels leave a slight impression in the lawn and it leaves small diviots where you change direction due to the caster action of the wheels. My suggestion is if you have wet areas get the lightest machine possible with the widest wheels

Bill when you have to bleed the system these items have to be followed for best results. Make sure the fuel tank is full to take advantage of maximum head pressure. Next ensure throttle setting is at full open so that pump is set at maximum fuel displacement. Next always work from the tank to the injectors (fuel filter, pump, injectors)In regards to leaving some air in the system I would not worry. Once the pump is primed and the engine starts to fire any remaining air in the pump discharge side will be compress and absorbed in the fuel and pushed out of the injectors. When I did may last oil and fuel filter change I found that if when the oil filter is remove it makes changing the fuel filter a lot easier(more room). Another thing do not crank for more 30secs leaving about a minute or two before the next cranking time so you will not burn out the starter.

I have had my TC33D for almost 2 years now and have accepted this rattling noise coming from the clutch area when the engine is at idle. Like you said when the clutch is pushed in this noise goes away. I have never thought much about this as I believe it was just coming from the loose fitted hub/clutch release bearing which slides over the input transmission shaft. The nature vibration of the engine running and the untensioned return spring cause this assembly to shake and make this rattling noise. When the clutch is pushed in everything is tightened up and the noise stops. I have heard this noise in other tractors over the years. Hans

You did not say what kind of front axle you had. I have the super steer. I had the same problem at about the same number of hours. I thought it was an oil relief valve lifting. I changed the HST filter but no effect checked oil levels and all was okay. The problem was that there was not enough grease put into the plastic shield/ cover on the drive shaft going into the sensitrack assembly unit. There is a zerk on this cover and although I had put in more grease it was not enough. I had to put enough in to come out the end leading to the transmission. Mine would only do it for a little while (going frontward or backwards)when it was cold and then go away. The sound was coming from underneath the tractor at mid section. I isolated the problem by jacking up the rear end and lifting the front with the loader. I then disconnected the input shaft to the front wheels at the transmission output. When forward travel was selected the noise was not there any more. This was a relief as it was not in the hydrostatic hydraulics. Hope this helps. What are some of the pros and cons of using a heavy weight scraper blade like Tufline GB4-72 (that weighs 546 #s) against using a lighter unit like the Land Pride 1572 which weighs just over the 300 #. With the heavier unit I would also get the offset features and tilt features. I am leaning on the heavier unit 6-foot width. The tractor I will be using it on will be a New Holland TC33D with a loader. I will be doing some general-purpose work, landscaping, ditch cleaning, snow clearing, and driveway grading. Will ordering the skid shoes be useful other than for clearing snow? Would like your opinion and experience.<br> <br>

I have had my TC33D for about a year now and it has the super steer. I am really satisfied with my selection. When in the auto 4x4 mode (turf tires)there is no scuffing at all by the front wheels(using a Bush Hog 72" rear discharge). The inside rear wheel will leave a slight mark since it is staying in the same place as the rest of the tractor is turning on the spot. If I select manual 4x4 I find that the fronts then really leave marks. I do not have the mid mount mower and I do have the 7308 loader. The loader main cylinders will not lift front off the ground but if I use the bucket tip forward it will lift no problem. I find the loader and super steer work very well and the set up is very manuverable. I would would chnage nothing if I needed to order this again.

I had the same dilemma as you did. The engine for the 25hp and the 29 hp are the same. All 3 tractor have the same physical dimensions. My final thought was you can never buy a tractor with too much HP. If you are going to snow blow you will need the horsepower. I chose to go with a 72-inch rear mounted Bush Hog mower instead of the midmount. There were several reasons for this. You can reach into corners which you cannot do with a mid mount. The rear unit is also cheaper. I think that installing / dismounting the mid mount is harder (a hard surface is required to move the unit in and out from under the tractor) than a rear 3 point hitch. I also bought the loader and with the work I have to do the mid mount mower would not give me the ground clearance that would be required. I also bought the supper steer option. This is really nice and I have yet to have the lawn scuffed with the front wheels. The turning radius is very good. The turning radius is better than 36
